Join us for the ConnectHer Conference, a dynamic and empowering event aimed at celebrating, connecting, and inspiring women in the workforce, particularly in non-traditional industries. This is your opportunity to share your expertise, knowledge, and insights with a diverse audience of thought leaders, trailblazers, and advocates for gender equity.
We invite you to submit conference presentation proposals that align with our mission of fostering connections and inspiring action to promote women’s advancement in non-traditional workplaces to benefit the workforce and economy across Canada.
Topics of Interest:
We are looking for presentations that touch on, but are not limited to, the following themes:
Career Advancement Strategies
Mentorship and Sponsorship Programs
Navigating Non-Traditional Industries
Promoting Inclusivity in the Workplace
Addressing Challenges Faced by Women and Gender-Diverse Individuals
Success Stories of Women in Skilled Trades, STEM, and Entrepreneurship
Feminist conversations around work and the economy
Building the Canadian economy, one woman at a time
Breaking the Glass ceiling
Representation Matters in media and in the workplace
From Protest to Policy
Feminist Entrepreneurship, Empowering Women
Format:
We encourage a variety of formats including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops.
Presentations should aim to engage participants and provide actionable takeaways.
Submission Guidelines:
Proposal Title: A concise and descriptive title for your presentation.
Abstract: A 150-200 word summary describing the topic, key points, and relevance to the audience.
Target Audience: Indicate who will benefit from your session (e.g., professionals, Unions, trades people, employers, students).
Presenter Information: Include your name, title, organization, and a brief bio (50-100 words).
All proposals must be submitted by January 30, 2025.
